We are committed to honoring the lives lost during the Holocaust, educating future generations about its impact, and inspiring a world dedicated to justice, remembrance, and human dignity.
During the Holocaust, Babi Yar, a ravine in Kyiv, Ukraine became the site of mass executions carried out by Nazi forces. In just two days in September 1941, over 33,000 Jewish men, women, and children were brutally murdered. This atrocity marked the beginning of countless killings that continued at Babi Yar throughout the war, targeting Jews, Roma, Soviet POWs, and other persecuted groups. Today, Babi Yar Park serves not only as a memorial to the victims but as a call for remembrance, reflection, and the urgent need to stand against hatred in all its forms.
Babi Yar is not just a location it is a symbol of unchecked hatred and silence in the face of injustice. While the exact number of victims will never be fully known, the scale of the massacre reflects the devastating loss and the brutal efficiency of the Nazi regime.
Babi Yar was the site of unspeakable horror where thousands were executed simply for being Jewish, Roma, or different. Sensitization starts with acknowledging this raw truth. Only by facing it can we honor the victims and stand against hatred today.
